I’m co-author of Who are universities for?, which was published in September 2018. The book offers a radical and optimistic vision of the future of universities. David Lammy has some nice things to say about it…
I’m the author of Romeo and Juliet in Palestine, a memoir about teaching in an extraordinary context. It was published in 2015 and received praise from some of my favourite writers, including John Berger and Helen Dunmore.
I’m also co-editor of Doris Lessing and the Forming of History.
I’m currently writing a book about a year I spent working with a charity in Bristol that provides education and training for individuals and communities affected by long-term poverty, addiction, offending and mental health issues.
