Talks

Tom has spoken at schools, bookshops, universities, and policy events, as well as at the Edinburgh Radical Book Fair, the Bath Festival of Literature, and the Orwell Youth Prize.

He gives talks on creative non-fiction, writing about other people’s lives, Palestine, access to universities, George Eliot, Doris Lessing and radical pedagogy. He is always pleased to talk about any of these topics (and others).

Tom spoke about Romeo and Juliet in Palestine with Madhu Krishnan as part of Bristol Festival of Ideas in 2015.

Tom gave a reading at his favourite bookshop, the Educational Bookshop in East Jerusalem, in 2015 in conversation with Mahmoud Muna. He is pictured with Mahmoud outside the shop.
